TOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

It is imperative that you read and understand the followings Safaris Terms and Conditions; they clearly stipulate what is included in your tour price and what charges you would incur if you were to cancel or transfer your safari to a different date.

INCLUDED IN COST:
Prices quoted may include one or more of the following:
park entrance fees, taxes, service charges, hotel charges, meals, guide fees, full board accommodation while on safari, half board accommodation (Mombasa, Lamu, Malindi & Zanzibar), bed and breakfast in Nairobi. Full day Excursions include lunch, professional English-speaking personnel and guides, transfers, and entrance fees only per day tour.

EXCLUDED IN COST:
Tips to drivers, guides, hotel personnel, gift purchases, laundry, items of a personal nature, entertainment not mentioned in the itinerary, visas, baggage & emergency insurance, alcoholic drinks & mineral water, international flights & airport departure taxes.

DEPOSITS:
A deposit of 40 % of the total tour cost on confirmation and the balance must be paid 30 days prior to the scheduled tour commencement date. If a booking is done less than 30 days before the departure date, the entire cost of the tour must be paid upfront upon confirmation. Payment of a deposit implies full acceptance of the booking and cancellation policies listed herein. Once a deposit is paid, any cancellations or transfers to another departure date are subject to charges listed further down.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
The clients who are no show for whatever reason and give a written notification to Rok Tours & Safaris will be subject to the following guidelines of retentions applicable to the entire cost of the contracted tour. a) with a notification of more than 60 days before the start date of the tour, the client will lose 70% of the deposit; b) with a notification between 31 to 60 days, the client will lose 50% of the deposit paid plus eventual charges by the providers of the services; c) with a notification of 30 days before the departure date of the tour, the client will lose 100% of the deposit paid plus the eventual additional charges of the providers of the services. If the deposit is more than the indicated percentage, the said charges will be deducted from the total amount deposited. In cases where hotels, lodges or camps charge for the entire stay, 100% of the total will be lost (or what the provider of the services may charge). The cancellations will only be valid if they are communicated by writing (mail or fax with complete details of the clients or the tour agency). Rok Tours & Safaris advise the procurement of an insurance policy covering the cancellation charges. If the cancellation is covered by an insurance policy bought by the client, this shall lodge a complaint with the insurance company in question, without any right to do so against Rok Tours & Safaris.

TRANSFERENCE OF TOUR:
If you need to transfer or change your tour to another date, in addition to the tour cost, the transfer fee is US$100.00.

TOUR CANCELLATION AND ITINERARY CHANGES:
Rok Tours & Safaris reserves the right to cancel a Safari due to unpredicted circumstances. In case of such cancellation, the entire amount of money paid will be refunded, but our financial liability shall be restricted only to the actual sum of money paid to Rok Tour & Safaris and shall not be extended to compensation of any costs incurred by the tour participant. We reserve the right to make changes in the itinerary if necessary due to weather conditions or other factors beyond our control. No refund is given in such cases.

INSURANCE:
We strongly recommend you protect yourself with a short-term traveler's insurance policy to cover baggage loss, accident, medical emergencies, and trip cancellation.

LIABILITY:
Rok Tours & Safaris assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by natural causes, dangers, change of government policies, wars, civil disturbances, epidemics, medical or customs regulations, from any causes beyond the control of Rok Tours & Safaris. Rok Tours & Safaris denies responsibility for any additional expenses arising from delay or cancellation of international flights. Rok Tours & Safaris reserves the right to exclude any client due to the state of health, conduct, manners or for other grave reasons that may pose danger or disturb other clients, or jeopardize the successful execution of the tour. This client will have no right to any compensation nor refund for the unutilized days of the tour, and will pay for the charges arising from the cancellation. Luggage is carried at client's own risk. The issuance of tickets and vouchers shall be construed as an acceptance of each of the above Safaris Terms and Conditions.
